Welcome to Heat Smart Otsego
Heat Smart Otsego is a community-based clean heating and cooling initiative to help residents and businesses lower their energy bills, improve comfort, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Similar to the Solarize campaigns held across NY State since 2012, Heat Smart Otsego is a grassroots program designed to help local building owners learn more about clean heating and cooling options.

Heating and cooling accounts for around 75% of the average New York home energy bill and roughly a third of all New York greenhouse gas emissions. Heat Smart Otsego is promoting four clean heating and cooling technologies, including
